Volunteers may also be needed to help set up the hall with toys and pack them away at the end (no heavy lifting) We also need help in the kitchen to cut up fruit, cheese and morning tea snacks for the children and adults at playgroup; help set up the coffee & tea. Help with setting up the tables and washing the dishes a the end of the playgroup session. Volunteer skills/qualities If volunteering to work with the children, must enjoy working with children and have patience with very young children. Working with children’s check will be needed which we can arrange for volunteers (no cost) Minimum committment required Preferably once per week but open to other levels of commitment Times and days Current playgroup runs weekly on Friday mornings during school term. Volunteers would work from 9am-11.00 approx. Recruitment process Initial interview and screening (Police & referee checks) Training and support On the job training where relevant but very limited.
