Role2: To drive and accompany clients from Heidelberg or Ivanhoe to a friendly dinner group on the 1st Monday of each month. A time commitment of approximately 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. is required. Role 3: Telephone Services To facilitate and connect regular Telelink groups. Volunteers required who have a particular interest in sport, current affairs or enjoy a social discussion, or can speak another language other than English. Seeking speakers in Spanish, Turkish, French, Greek and Russian. Telelink is a group-style conference call connection for socially isolated clients. A volunteer facilitates the discussion and or delivers the subject matter via telephone from their own home. Telephone facilitation and self-host connection training is provided to all new volunteers to the Telelink Program. Role 4: Recreation Once a week or once a fortnight to accompany people from Blackburn who are blind or have vision loss with going to the football.
