Fundraising/retail What's on offer Join a friendly team at the Box Hill Auxiliary kiosk, preparing food and serving patients, staff and visitors Location of role Box Hill Hospital Organisation’s profile Box Hill Hospital is part of the Eastern Health group and is a large acute hospital admitting more than 48,000 patients each year. The hospital provides a wide range of healthcare services including: emergency care, general and specialist medicine, intensive care, mental health services for children, adolescents and adults, maternity services, post-acute care programs, surgery, teaching and research. Volunteer skills/qualities Formal – Nil •Friendly manner •Reliability •High standard of cleanliness •Ability to work as part of a team and to take direction from Kiosk Supervisors •Good spoken English • Money handling skills Times and days The kiosk operates from 8am -8pm, seven days a week, with three shifts daily (8/8.30am-1pm, 1.00-5.00pm. 5.00-8.00pm). Volunteers work on a two weekly roster and may be called upon to volunteer for extra times.
