What's on offer This position aims to provide companionship, for a friendly, 90 year old Albanian speaking lady. She is very family focused and loves telling stories of her life and discussing past events. Mobility problems make it difficult for this lady to leave the house so she would love to find an Albanian speaking volunteer to visit her for coffee, company and conversation. Times and days One to two hours per week. Volunteer skills/qualities Ability to converse in Albanian. Other qualities include: •Reliability and a willingness to work collaboratively with the participant and her family •Ability to relate well to older people •A commitment to privacy, confidentiality and the rights of older people is essential. Police check required? Yes More information Volunteers with UnitingCare Community Options will be asked to provide references. Where applicable, fuel costs will be reimbursed. |
