Volunteers Conservation Volunteers runs a program of conservation activities. The program is extremely well run and offers volunteers a chance to help care for and improve our beautiful natural environment, while working with a friendly group under skilled supervision. Volunteering for this program can be a good pathway to employment with other organisations. Conservation Volunteers provides its volunteers with the opportunity to gain Certificate I in Active Volunteering, as well as developing a set of useful skills. One volunteer has said, "I'd love to work here forever. The program has been fantastic for boosting my confidence and skill levels." Volunteering for Conservation Volunteers is ideal for volunteers who want to help improve Australia's natural environment, but can only volunteer on a daily basis rather than making a regular commitment. You can volunteer for weekend, overnight or single day activities. Volunteers usually need to pre-register online and get to a central point (usually Dudley St in West Melbourne) to catch a bus that will take them to and from the location for that day's program.
