About the agency Throughout Australia people turn to Vinnies in their time of need. The St Vincent de Paul Society is also an active advocate for people who are marginalised and disadvantaged in our society through its Social Justice Committee.

Vinnies Centres have a huge range of quality clothing, bric-a-brac, furniture and other household items at affordable prices. Vinnies Centres also stock youthful fashions of today and originals from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Profits from the sale of this stock helps in providing resources and support to people in need.

Volunteers There is a wide variety of volunteering opportunities. From working in a Vinnies store or depot, to tutoring refugee families, to taking disadvantaged children out on outings, to helping out at a camp for children, to befriending an elderly or disabled person in your neighbourhood… volunteering for Vinnies can be a rich and rewarding experience!

The nearest Vinnies stores, known as Vinnies Centres, to Manningham are in Heidelberg, Ringwood and Mitcham. Becoming a volunteer in one of the Centres offers opportunities in a wide variety of roles including sales, goods maintenance, displaying goods in the store or helping with furniture collection.
