The aim of the Guides is to build all round citizens by developing personal skills and widening horizons. Activities include hiking, camping and community service. Volunteers Girl Guides Victorias adult volunteers are the backbone of Guiding, dedicated and motivated individuals who want to make a difference by making a personal contribution to the community. They are often women who: Have careers Are students wanting work experience Want to give back to the community Have family and other commitments. Adult volunteers play an important role in facilitating the Australian Guide Program. Throughout their journey in Guiding, Guides look to our adult volunteers as role models and mentors. No matter how much time you have to give or the skills you have to offer, there is a volunteer role at Girl Guides Victoria to suit you. Dont Forget the Fun! Most volunteers are full-time workers, parents and/or students, who enjoy Guiding as a way of giving back to the community, but also as an important, fulfilling and FUN social activity. Any adult volunteer will tell you that they love sharing the fun and excitement of Guiding with other members (youth and adult), and experiencing the special friendship and sense of community that Guiding brings.
