Clients may be homeless or soon to be evicted and are supported with short-term, medium-term or long-term accommodation. Other clients may need support with court or medical appearances or with problems that appear overwhelming. WHSS helps clients with payment of facility bills, has a food bank and can help with linen and furniture. It provides a free counselling and financial counselling service and works closely with the Department of Human Services to help its clients. WHSS is located in a charming miner's cottage on the banks of the Yarra River in Warrandyte. Volunteers Volunteers are needed from time to time to help in the office with administrative and reception tasks and to help with clients.
