Austin Health comprises Austin Hospital, Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital and the Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre. Volunteers Volunteer Guides are required to assist at the Austin, to greet patients and visitors as they arrive, and offer assistance and escort patients and visitors when finding their way around the hospital. There are many other volunteering opportunities at Austin Health, which has over 700 volunteers. Hours are flexible to suit; however most shifts are for four hours, morning or afternoon. Conditions are excellent, with free car parking and a uniform jacket/vest to be supplied to volunteers.
