The services include Practical Assistance, Counselling, Social Support groups for seniors, In-home Family Support, the Hands On Parenting Support volunteer home visiting program and a Womens Domestic Violence support program. Doncare operates six opportunity shops, which are located in Templestowe Village, North Blackburn Shopping Centre, Tunstall Square ( Doncaster East), Macedon Plaza (Lower Templestowe), Brentford Square (Forest Hill) and Bulleen (Bulleen Plaza). The services provided by Doncare are primarily delivered by over 520 volunteers, managed and supported by a small number of paid staff. Volunteers Volunteering opportunities at Doncare include: Community Support Workers who provide practical assistance to clients who are experiencing hardship. They also provide information and interview prospective volunteers under the Volunteering in Manningham Program. Social Support Connectors and Drivers who drive and support seniors to attend social outings Opportunity Shop staff who support the fundraising efforts of the five opportunity shops Administration Support staff Volunteer Counsellors (Need to be stuying at post-graduate level.
